This Country has been in DENIAL for over 30 Years, on what War does to many who serve In - Theater, and are once again running to that Denial!!

Why the DENIAL, we think We Are So Supreme and Powerful, We Cheer on the Shock and Awe of Total Destruction of others Countries and Populations in Wars Of Choice, not Justified and Based on Lies of the few!

The We are the Great Majority who Will Not Serve, Will Not Deploy, Will Cheer On Like It's Some Great Sporting Event!!

War is Not Sport, and those, the Great Majority, who act like it is, Refuse to Even Pay for what they have done to others, but More Than Willing to not Question what our Military Industrial Complex Skims off our Huge Defense Budgets!

Jimastro, thanks, I recorded 20/20 last night and I am (4.00 / 2)
going to watch it right now after reading your piece and watching the first clip. Does't suprise me at all. Tom.

"It is illogical to put a cap on VA funding when it is impossible to put a cap on the number of those wounded and injured in service to their country." Larry Scott

It Shouldn't Surprise..... (4.00 / 2)
We've gone through All This Crap Before, and Country Said With One Voice, "We'll Never Forget The Lessons Of!", didn't buy it than certainly never will Now!

There isn't much one can say Good about the present, but One Thing is known.

Unlike when we were returning from 'Nam, and most World War II Vets were saying "We Didn't Fight In A Real War", mostly from the American Legion and VFW members, took them a real long time to change their tune, many were even engaged in the battle to Stop 'The Wall' from ever happening!

This Generation's Returning Combat Vets have thousands of Us who either experianced personally what is happening now, across the board, or knew many fellow Vets who did. Most of the Best are now Passed On but that doesn't stop the Rest of Us from Fighting for what this Generation Is Due for their Service!

We Been There Already, We Understand, the Experiances are Too Similar, and This Country Will Finally Understand The True Costs Of War!!!!!!!!!

At least untill I take my last breath, but I will knowing others will fill that little void!!!

'Hearts and Minds, "The ultimate victory will depend on the hearts and minds of the people who actually live there." -- President Lyndon Johnson

I couldn't help weeping when I watched these men and the (4.00 / 2)
major apparantly couldnt speak much because they showed him cry, then his meds on bathroom sink and that was about it. It got me emotionally mostly because I was thinking what a waste, what have we done to these young men. But also because I am a recovering addict and  I know that pain also. Recovering alcoholic/addict and God willing will have 23yrs sober  in January 08. What a waste of such promising lives. Tom.
