"Bin Laden Not Behind 9/11" Is Now Official Party Line

What happens when you can't catch the bad guy?  You just decide he isn't the bad guy anymore, since you already caught the bad guy. Everybody wins!

Question: [Helen Thomas maybe?] But Osama bin Laden is the one that - you keep talking about his lieutenants, and, yes, they are very important, but Osama bin Laden was the mastermind of 9/11 -

Dana Perino: No, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed was the mastermind of 9/11, and he's sitting in jail right now.

The really depressing thing is at the best this will be ignored by the traditional media, and at worst it they will pick it up as truth and it will be written in history books.

How does Dana Perino sleep at night?

I'm surprised that I could even get through that little bit (0.00 / 0)
from Dana. I just can't tolerate her.

This is a real upping of the usual level of spin. Probably because Pakistan has said they would NOT let foreign troops on their soil.

[Pretty sure that wasn't the voice of Helen Thomas. Also, she has been very ill. Haven't heard that she has returned to work. Her absence has been felt.]

Come to think of it (0.00 / 0)
I've read at least two articles this week down-playing the role of UBL . . . what the hell is happening?  Huh, well I guess since KSM is in Gitmo we should all feel better.

Hannity and Rush (0.00 / 0)
Hannity and Limbaugh will be parroting this line soon enough. So will the republican party bloggers.

It is a damn shame.

A few have seen the light and called a spade a spade. Not enough however.

And Perino sleeps very well at night.

Forget the past? Just reinvent it!

Disregard what KSM said himself! (0.00 / 0)

The really depressing thing is at the best this will be ignored by the traditional media, and at worst it they will pick it up as truth and it will be written in history books.

But this from an ABC News blotter article:
KSM's confession is a remarkable document, listing most of the known, and a few unknown, terror attacks or plots over the last 10 years.

QUOTE "I was responsible for the 9/ll operation, from A to Z," the declaration reads.

He also says he was responsible for planning and financing a "second wave" of attacks that targeted the Library Tower in Los Angeles, the Sears Towers in Chicago, the Plaza Bank in Washington State and the Empire State Building in New York.

FBI officials in Chicago had previously denied ABC News reports that the Sears Tower was a possible target.UNQUOTE

But what the Hell.  If the "intellectuals" here say he didn't say this, then that must be it.

Yeah! (4.00 / 1)
C'mon Richard, its not like KSM was tortured to gain this "information."

Crap, he was ay? Quick ernliz make up some excuse about how information gained under torture is compleatly credible. what? That has been debunked too? Damnit!

Well ernliz looks like you'll just have to keep blowing smoke up everyone's ass and maybe they'll just believe the bullsh*t. Hey, it work on you ;-)

So, you don't believe that Osama was behind the 9/11 terrorist attacks?  Why did Bush repeatedly say that he was?  Why the big "hunt for Bin Laden" push?  I know that OBL had masterminded previous attacks, and openly took credit for them.  But when Bush was elected, he didn't really care about that until 9/11.  After 9/11 it was all about "we gotta get Bin Laden."  Now you tell me that Bin Laden was totally innocent?

Nevermind Ernliz, Palin cleared it up for me (4.00 / 1)
It wasn't Osama or KSM that committed 9/11.  It was the Iraqis!!

Earlier today, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin linked the Iraq war to the attacks of September 11, 2001, "telling an Iraq-bound brigade of soldiers that included her son that they would 'defend the innocent from the enemies who planned and carried out and rejoiced in the death of thousands of Americans.'" "America can never go back to that false sense of security that came before September 11, 2001," said Palin at the deployment ceremony.

Still strange, however, that we waited until 2003 to counter attack those who attacked us in 2001.

O/T but want to sneak this one in: (0.00 / 0)
In case you haven't go the point that BigMac was a POW, CNN has released new 'footage' of him as a POW.
http://www.cnn.com
And they have a link to "People" covering the 'tattooed' deploying kid. Yup, they describe his tattoos. Seems Ak's First Dude has some thoughts about the "Army" enlistment... wishes his kid had looked at other branches first.

Partisan politics (0.00 / 0)
skewering the facts again I see. Does anyone actually know who really was the mastermind behind 9/11? But hey, I never saw partisan political types as anything more than self important indivudals created for my own personal amusement.
