Pakistan is the AIG of International Affairs

For the financially-minded who have trouble prioritizing between Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan, here's one way to think of it: Pakistan is the AIG of international affairs.  It's on the verge.  And the world has to prevent it from collapsing.  Because if it goes down--nukes and all--it's taking everybody down with it.

It's terrifying to think that George W. Bush and John McCain--blinded by their obsession with Iraq--don't see this.

Explain This for Me? (4.00 / 1)
This is absolutly right!

While we are waiting for the next President and if that's McCain/Palin Victory??? Al-Qauda is rebuliding in Pakistan, while the Pakistan is falling to Al-Qauda, and all this while this administration contiunes with the cover up lie of the "Surge"
Don't get me wrong, our and my friends have done wonders in Iraq! And I am very proud of them!

But  let me get this straight Victory is the OK FOR A LIE?
This is what America has come to?
Is it a victory if over 4400 of my friends have die for a LIE?
Is it victory that more than 1.4 million innocent Iraq civilan have died for a LIE?
Is it victory that  over 586 more of my friends have died in Afghanistan, for that Lie?
And not to mention the fact what we have subjected these people and this region and their borders to the same people who attacked us on 9/11. is that victory?
So I ask you the same question I ask McCain/Palin and this adminitration what is victory in Iraq?
Is it victoryto cover up a LIE.

Since this Lie started we have destroyed a region, and now we have Iran at the front door, Al-Qauda at the back door again in case you missed it,and Russia bringing up the rear.
So Tell Me Again What Is Victory In Iraq?

Now explain this one to me?

Do we really trust these guys?

A discussion of the Pakistan government backing the rise of the Taliban:

http://www.iht.com/articles/20...

The 'backing' began during the 2nd time Benazir Bhutto [88-90 & 93-96] was running the show. The new leader, Zardari is her widower who has been called "Mr. 10%". He earned this nickname for his corruption. He was convicted and spent time in jail for corruption crimes. The Brits dropped charges against him when he plead mental illness and the Swiss dropped charges when it appeared he would be elected to lead Pakistan.

Do we trust this guy? Must since we have increased military bucks by $1billion including the sale of Cobras.

Zardari has replaced Musharraf who said one thing while the military and the ISI continued to strengthen the Taliban.

Another setback?

http://www.iht.com/articles/20...

The economic collapse is global. A Brit, a Belgian and German bank just went under. This will dry up defense budgets and also money to support NGOs/charities with spending to combat poverty that is the breeding ground for insurrections.

A discussion of the growing global success of AQ inspired Islamic militancy:

Latest bombings included Pakistan, New Delhi, Algiers, Demascus, and Lebanon. The above article also mentions the Philippines where Mindanao is a total disaster.
