Degenerates Kill Navy SEAL Marcus Luttrell's Dog

by: Brandon Friedman

Punks joyriding around killing dogs in rural Texas murdered Navy SEAL and Lone Survivor author Marcus Luttrell's dog last week.  The dog's name was Dasy and it was the therapy dog given to him when he returned from his ordeal in Afghanistan.  Marcus went on Glenn Beck to tell the story:

The maximum sentence these slugs will get is two years, which is unfortunate because they deserve to spend the rest of their lives in an 8 X 8 ft. cage.  I'd like to use some more colorful and angry language, but I'm just gonna leave it.  Our thoughts are with Marcus.

If you can't view the video, a summary is below. . . .

Brandon Friedman :: Degenerates Kill Navy SEAL Marcus Luttrell's Dog
Here's a summary of the story from LiveLeak:

You see it seems some dumb-ass punks were driving the Texas countryside, summarily executing dogs.

Marcus was at home, it was late at night and he was awake. He heard a gunshot outside, told his mom to stay inside, and when he went outside he saw a group of punks standing around his yellow lab therapy dog named "Dasy," lying dead in the ditch. These punks had shot Daisy with a .357 and killed her. Dasy was very special to Marcus, because she served not only as his therapy dog, but her very name was an acronym for the members of his SEAL team who fought and died in Afghanistan -- Danny, Axe, Southern Boy (Marcus) and Yankee.

Marcus chased these punks over four counties, and he nearly shot the driver. Finally the Rangers caught up with these punks in Huntsville, TX and the idiots in handcuffs were laughing about it. They said they would also kill Marcus. Do these douchebags not know about Marcus?

Dickhead Alfonso Hernandez was charged with Cruelty to Animals and is facing up to two years in prison, and dickhead #2, Michael Edmonds, is currently on the run.

If you have any information on Edmonds, please contact Sgt. Steven Jeter at the Huntsville, TX Ranger station at 936-435-0152.

two guys are douche bags. I am probably not supposed to say this, but I hope some disgruntled individuals give these two goons a serious ass kicking before they go to the big house.

Rot (4.00 / 1)
Goddamn all four of those cowards. I'm glad that Marcus didn't drop them all, but only because their lives in prison are going to be full of misery, beatings, and encounters that will give them a true understanding of what PTSD is all about, especially once the other inmates find out what they've done and who they've done it to. I wonder if the local DA can arrange for each of them to spend 10 minutes in an unsupervised room with Marcus before sentencing. It makes me sad that we have to share oxygen with scum like that. For what it's worth, Marcus, our thoughts are with you.

how awful (0.00 / 0)
Therapy dogs can be so important, and the bond between companion dog and human so tight. This story made me cry.

I never understand how people get to the point that they find cruelty and killing animals funny or fun. Never.

This is inhuman (0.00 / 0)
It simply boggles my mind that there are animals like this. These [expletives] are not homo sapiens. Normal humans just don't do this.

These four [expletives] thought they were being "gangsta," and that it was fun to go around and kill dogs. To be quite honest, I'd rather they killed each other than that puppy. This is intolerable.

It must have taken a lot of will-power for Marcus to not kill them. I know I would've. Cutting off fingers with bolt cutters comes to mind... I just can't imagine how you can refrain yourself from hurting them.

What is happening to our society, where punks figure that it's a good idea to kill puppies? Something's telling me that if Glenn (God bless him) puts their pictures up in two years, one night a mob is gonna beat them to death with tire irons. That's justice.

Words cannot express the empathy I have for this man. He served in the Navy Seals for years, lost fellow soldiers, and was captured... for these four [expletive]-ing dirtbags. He stood on a wall and ensured their protection while they slept, and THIS is how they repay him? You want proper justice, ask Afghanistan to take them. In fact, let's give them to Al Queda.

Naturally, the left is gonna try to tell us that is wasn't their fault, and that clearly the problem is that they were able to get firearms to go kill the dogs. I have no doubt in my mind that soon I'll be hearing something like: "Well, if there WAS gun control, they wouldn't have firearms to kill the dogs, so it's really your fault."

You want to know what the problem is... it's these punks hearing the liberals say something like that, and then they say to themselves: "well, it's alright to go do this, 'cause it isn't my fault."

I [expletive]-ing dare someone to try that with my dog. I would not be as strong as Mr. Luttrell, as to not hurt them.

God be with you, sir.

The left? (4.00 / 1)
I'm a pretty liberal guy, Hitman, and I probably would have capped them. This isn't about liberals and conservatives or gun control. It's about cruelty and stupidity and injustice. For crying out loud, not everything is about politics or ideology. The left is not out to ruin the country or explain everything away, just like the right are not all gun-loving idiots who kill dogs for fun.  No matter what side we voted for, I think we're all on the same page on this issue. No one blames anyone but the trash that committed the act, and all of our hearts go out to Marcus.

Don't be too sure... (0.00 / 0)
Watch Glenn Beck's show tonight, man. There's this psychiatrist on who's suggesting some bad parts of their childhood, and people in their lives who hurt them (awww....).

This is so typical. Blame the "enviroment." Bad childhood, access to firearms. Typical liberal SOP (Standard Operating Procedure).

I don't give a s$%t if their parents shot them with bb guns. That doesn't excuse this. Nothing does. It's not like it was a rabid pit bull. It was a puppy the size of a plump mouse.

could use some deterrent (0.00 / 0)
Hi! I'm left, but if those jerks had permanently disappeared into that poor man's basement, I would have understood. Wether or not they had miserable childhoods and whether or not they have lost their ability to empathize with the suffering of others, they could at least have the brains to fear the social consequences. Jail time aside, there's always the possibility of running into someone who loses it at the sight of their loved one in the gutter, be it dog or otherwise, and with military training like that guy had it only would have taken a few seconds for all four of them to end up in the morgue. It makes me wonder if we all just look like prey to people like that. Perhaps we could use more socially accepted predators?

As far as free access to guns go, I'm willing to bet if they hadn't had guns, they would have brought bats.

If that had been MY animals.... well, a bullet could have been the best they could have hoped for.

You're right (0.00 / 0)
There's no excuse for it, and I don't get it at all. The people that did it are pieces of human garbage, and it doesn't really matter how that got that way. But I don't buy the argument that some stupid shrink's opinions are typical liberal SOP. There's a difference between progressive thought and whiny excuse-making. (OK, maybe the whiny part describes some liberals). I would imagine that the turds who did this would be better off facing a judge in Texas than a group of PETA supporters. Those liberals would disembowel them and wear their nuts as earrings. That would make a pretty convincing ad, don't ya think?

All I'm saying is that being liberals and conservatives doesn't really come into play here. We can all hate the dicktards that were involved and share the hope that they find themselves at the pointy end of a shank once they get to jail. You won't see anyone here blaming mommy and daddy or access to guns. Just because some of us advocate for progressive foreign policy doesn't mean that we don't have the same sick feeling in our guts when we hear about this kind of thing. Only the weakest side of the left will say these guys deserve sympathy, just like the most extreme end of the right will ask why shooting dogs is a crime in the first place.
