If Only We Were Profiling

Since October of last year, a suburban Pennsylvania woman who operated under the name "Jihad Jane" has been in federal custody for plotting with foreign Islamic fundamentalists to kill a Swedish cartoonist. The cartoonist was the creator of the infamous cartoon which depicted the face of the Muslim prophet Mohamed on the body of a dog.

"Jihad Jane" traveled to Europe and trained with terrorists to kill the cartoonist, and even ultimately moved into his artist enclave after joining his online community. "Jihad Jane" first declared her desire to participate in violent Jihad in the Summer of 2008. Perhaps we would have caught her sooner if, as some ethnocentric fearmongers propose, we had been engaging in ethnic profiling. Yeah, that would have caught this blond haired, blue eyed, caucasian woman:

No excuses for her yet, on how righteous she might have been, after all she looks kinda like a lilly white american following in the footsteps of the quarter million dollar plane pilot long time tax dodger!!

Guess I'll have to swing over to the winger side of reality for a look see!!

Quick trivia question (0.00 / 0)
From where do al Qaida's best fighters come from?

Quick answer (0.00 / 0)
European Muslims who are predominately white guys.  You asked where their best fighters came from, not where most of their fighters came from.

Though I am not sure whether Chechnya is technically considered to be part of Europe or Asia, the Chechens are Caucasians and look European.

I am actually agreeing on the Ethnic profiling overall. AQ counts Kosovars, Chechens, and Bosnians in its ranks. At the same end, can the average police officer or TSA agent tell the difference between an Indian and a Pakistani? Or for that matter, can they tell the difference between a Latino and an Arab? I am inclined to say no.

I think we should be profiling Saudis.

'Jihad Jane's' Arrest Raises Fears About Homegrown Terrorists

Experts Say Suburban Pennsylvania Woman Was Easy to Find, and There Could be More Like Her

No s**t dick tracy!!

What because she was a wack job who wanted to go extremist false muslim, that wanted to join in those of a certain religion?, other then extremist christian?, or a certain group of others but not of white european decent!

The idiots gave more press to mr. tax dodger nut case, and not those killed and burned, and some jumped right in making excuses for or outright support that 'domestic criminal terrorist' and now, without paying heed to all the long time and new groups already in this country, let alone lone wolves, they're blatantly profiling, adding to the already greatly increased hatreds and any seeking blowback giving more cause for!!

To say that ethnic profiling is ineffective due to the actions of a few lone white christian wolves is silly. Im not saying we need to frisk all of those with a particular tone of skin...but to ignore numbers for the sake of being PC is dangerous.
