  • Go read war-junkie's diary.
  • If you think the "surge" is the solution to anything, you're living in a fantasy.  American forces have been hit with more Iranian-produced EFPs in the first two weeks of January than in all of December.  And casualties have risen in January for the first time since August.  Mark it down: This thing is cyclical, and will remain so until we leave.
  • 25 Pakistani soldiers are missing after a gun battle in which 200 Taliban militants stormed an Army fort in Waziristan.  Ahem. . .move along now. . .nothing to see here. . .everything is fine. . . .
  • So what's the deal, General Franks?  Are you gonna give the money to charity or what?

    Troubles in Pakistan... (0.00 / 0)
...I checked your redacted link on Pakistan and found another CNN article on:

    "CIA: Extremists killed Bhutto"

Sometimes you wonder if anything is ever going to go right.  Well at least the Bhutto article was #1 on CNN's "Most Viewed" stories.  It beat out "Exposing the Heart of Jane Austen", so my hope for humanity not being complete imbeciles has been renewed.

Glad you feel better about that. n/t (0.00 / 0)

    are you guys on this?

    Active duty mercenary military campaigning

    Yeah, I've seen it. (0.00 / 0)
I didn't take it so much as a threat, though.  It looked more like the VP was telling his employees that if Adame gets elected, they'll lose their jobs.  Which is pretty much a fact.
