McHenry Releases Statement on Green Zone Video

In response to rising criticism over the self-promotion of his own OPSEC violations in Iraq, Congressman Patrick McHenry (R-NC) has apparently released a statement to the Weekly Standard.

This afternoon, VoteVets Senior Advisor and North Carolina Iraq veteran Phillip Gilfus called McHenry's office to find out what the deal is: Why did they pull the videos?  Is McHenry going to apologize?  Does he have any other comments to add?  According to Phillip, the person to whom he talked had "not seen the video."  All the receptionist would say is that Congressman McHenry has "released a statement to the Weekly Standard."

After Phillip told me, I decided to call McHenry's Washington office myself.  The person who answered the phone gave me the same story: A statement was released to the Weekly Standard and if I wanted to see it, I'd have to wait for it to be published.  I assume he meant online. . .and probably on Goldfarb's blog.

Pass the popcorn.  I'm waiting to see this.
